According to California artist Jerry Anderson,

his paintings record a visual search for reconnection with the creative sources that activate the entire cosmos. Anderson experiences this as a complex play of male, female and reconciling energies grounded in the feminine expression. Extensive travels, varied studies and broad life experiences have shown him that, as he explains, “This is a journey on a knife’s edge, a staggering tight rope walk where falling is guaranteed, yet it is in continuing that reward is possible.”

Using his preferred medium of highly saturated acrylic paint on canvas, Anderson constructs compositions that inevitability contain female forms. He explains that these are the images which most visibly represent universal creativity for him.

His work is recognized in the United States, China, Denmark, Italy, Morocco and the Middle East. He exhibits regularly with Agora Gallery in New York City as well as in California and Italy.
